World Day for Consecrated Life will be celebrated this weekend. Please pray for Mother Agnes Marie Burvant, Sr. Marie Elizabeth Jerry, Sr. Mary Brigid of the Good Shepherd Damare, all from St. Peter Parish. Please also pray for all those who have made commitments in the consecrated life. May they continue to be inspired by Jesus Christ and respond generously to God's gift of their vocation.

All are invited to have their throats blessed following the regularly scheduled 8:30 am Mass on Thursday, February 3, the Feast of St. Blaise.

Wednesday February 2nd is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, also known as Candlemas Day. Candles are blessed on this day in remembrance of Simeon's prophecy about Jesus as a light to the Gentiles. Everyone is invited to bring candles to the 8:30 am Mass for a special blessing for the candles to be used in their homes.

Next week, from Monday January 24 to Wednesday January 26, the St. Peter Adoration Chapel will close intermittently, daily from 7 am to 6 pm. A security system will be installed. This project is made possible with the funds raised in the iGiveCatholic campaign from November 2021. We thank you for your generosity.

Starting Thursday, January 13, the Knights of Columbus invite you to pray the Novena for Life. The attached link will allow you to view or download the Novena day by day or all nine days at once.

Archbishop Aymond will celebrate the liturgy for the Victims and Survivors of Violence at the 11:00 am Mass at St. Louis Cathedral in New Orleans on Sunday, February 6, 2022. If you or your family has been affected by violence or murder, please let the Rectory know and we will submit the name of your family to the archdiocese. They will send you a special invitation to this Mass on February 6.
