December 6, 1974 was that fullness of time in the calendar of God when I was born to the family of Mr. Augustine and Mrs. Felicia Adoga both of Ogoja, Cross River State, Nigeria. I am the number fifth of the tenth in the family.
I started my university education late due to some inexplicable reasons; but at the right time of God I got my bachelor degree in History and International studies from the University of Calabar, Nigeria in 2007.
I worked for the Federal Government of Nigeria for more than two years. Comparatively like Peter and Andrew who toiled all night long and caught nothing; but with the intervention of the Lord Jesus at the lake Gennesaret, and thereafter enclosed a great shoal of fish, but later abandoned all the blessings of God and seek the God of the blessing by answering the call to become fishers of men. I too abandoned my job for which I prayed for after hearing the call of God to be trained to become fisher of men.
My choice of undergoing a priestly training to be ordained if this be the will of God for the Archdiocese of New Orleans is a mystery. All I can tell with regard to this is that the Spirit blows where it wills.
My area of interest before entering the seminary has always been spiritual matters such as a better understanding of the basic Catholic doctrine, scriptural reading and studying, and active involvement in liturgical celebration. I have been involved in sharing and giving reflection on many Christian topics to various groups in Nigeria.
